Biography

Kristyn Ranson's daughter Jessica has had type 1 diabetes since she was 15 years of age.  She is now 20 years old.  Her journey with this condition has thrown up many challenges which she has shared with her family who have been a huge support throughout her life.  However, professional assistance has also been invaluable. Jessica lives in Brisbane, has attended local schools and TAFE and is now starting out in the workforce. She doesn’t let her condition stop her doing anything: she has completed five different qualifications and is a dance teacher and role model to young children. Kristyn, Jessica’s mother, has been a huge support for her daughter and will present this session.
