Biography

Manya is an accredited Consultant Pharmacist. For the first 20 years of her career, Manya was a teaching and research academic in the School of Pharmacy at the University of South Australia, where her research mainly focused on Quality Use of Medicines (QUM). She has a special interest in pain management, mental health and disability. Since leaving academia, she has proudly pioneered new roles for pharmacists, including the role of general practice pharmacist. Since 2018, she has worked as an aged care pharmacist. Manya is passionate about ensuring people with complex health conditions receive the best health care available and champions team approaches to care. In 2015, she was credentialled as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist in acknowledgement of her significant contribution to patient care. Manya is very proud to have been awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (SA/NT Branch) Pharmacist of the Year (2021) and the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy MIMS Consultant Pharmacist of the Year (2021).
