Lecture Overview

Following on from Joanne's 'Normal and Abnormal Heart Sounds' video, this lecture goes on to explain how to recognise a murmur and its causes and how learning to correctly listen to heart sounds can help you differentiate between valvular stenosis and regurgitation (includes audio examples). We recommend you listen to the 'Normal and Abnormal Heart Sounds' lecture as a basic overview before undertaking this learning.

This study has enlightened my understanding on the types of murmurs and how they can easily be distinguished from all six types. It was great information to refresh my mind on.
