Modern slavery continues to affect an estimated 50 million people globally, including within Australian operations and supply chains. In healthcare settings, providers rely heavily on labour hire, cleaning, catering, textiles, personal protective equipment (PPE), medical consumables and global manufacturing, all of which are identified as high-risk supply chains and operations for modern slavery. This Training Module aims to assist managers and responsible persons in recognising signs of modern slavery, assessing risks, escalating concerns safely, and supporting organisational due diligence and reporting obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
