Supporting a Child Safe Organisation

Regardless of your role or healthcare setting, you have a responsibility to help foster a child-safe environment. This Training Module will discuss how to recognise, respond to and report concerns about child safety, and how organisations can apply the National Principles and their jurisdiction's Child Safe Standards in healthcare settings.

What you'll learn:
Explain why child safeguarding is essential in all healthcare settings.
Identify indicators of child abuse, neglect and harm, and recognise when a child may be at risk.
Respond safely, respectfully, and in a culturally responsive and trauma-informed manner when concerns arise, including documenting and escalating concerns appropriately.
Understand how the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and state/territory Child Safe Standards and reporting obligations apply to your role and workplace.
