Review layout, instructions, and content visibility from both perspectives — reducing confusion and saving time on revisions.
Single Sign-On (SSO) is now supported on the Ausmed website. Staff are automatically redirected to your organisation’s secure login page — no extra passwords, no extra steps.
Use case
Staff can sign in directly to the Ausmed website using the credentials they already use across your organisation — reducing login friction and improving access.
We’ve upgraded Ausmed’s underlying framework to the latest supported version. This keeps the platform fast, reliable, and secure, while laying the groundwork for smoother user experiences going forward. No action is required from learners or admins. This is part of our ongoing commitment to keep the platform fast, reliable and secure.
Use case
Everyday tasks — from loading dashboards to navigating course pages — now feel more consistent and responsive thanks to performance and stability improvements in the upgraded framework.
Ausmed’s SCORM modules now include AI-powered reflective questions — an industry-first. These interactions let learners write a personal response to a clinical scenario or prompt and immediately receive feedback generated by AI and benchmarked against expert-designed rubrics.
Use case
A health worker completes a SCORM module on wound care via their employer’s LMS. At the end of the module, they're asked to reflect: “Describe how you would manage a patient presenting with a Stage 2 pressure injury.” After submitting their response, the AI evaluates it using a clinical rubric and returns tailored feedback: highlighting effective actions and suggesting missed considerations, such as infection control or escalation procedures. This supports safer care, in a low-risk environment, before applying skills on the job.
You can now upload files directly as supporting evidence in the LMS. Whether it’s a PDF, Word document, image or other file type, managers and team members can attach these files to Learning Records and completion workflows.
Use case
A nurse completes a hands-on competency. Instead of linking to a shared folder, their manager uploads a scanned assessment form directly to the LMS record — making supervision, auditing, and compliance tracking faster and easier.
Ausmed Perform now includes ready-to-use templates that make performance management faster and more consistent. The new Question Bank brings together clinical and custom organisation-specific questions. Activity Templates offer guided structures for key conversations, like probation and annual reviews. Program Templates (previously called Cycles) allow you to bundle activities into reusable programs for easy rollout.
Use case
Managers can run structured, effective reviews with less effort — saving time, improving consistency, and ensuring accountability across teams.
Ausmed’s Audit Log captures a detailed record of key account actions — including who made the change, what was changed, and when it happened. This ensures full transparency across your organisation and supports quick investigations, internal audits, and compliance reviews.
Use case
Ideal for governance teams and system administrators who need to demonstrate oversight, trace issues, or validate activity for compliance.
Managers can now see if — and when — their feedback has been viewed by staff.
Use case
After providing performance feedback through the Manager Portal, a manager can check whether a staff member has viewed the feedback. If it hasn’t been viewed, the manager may choose to follow up directly. If it has, they can prepare for a coaching conversation with confidence that the message was received.
You can now share fixed snapshots of learning reports with other LMS managers using secure, time-bound links. These reports preserve data exactly as it was at the time of sharing — with no live updates — and include optional expiry settings and access controls for added security.
Use case
Perfect for sharing compliance snapshots or progress updates with managers or stakeholders — without exposing real-time data.
Learners now receive instant, tailored feedback on every response — not just a generic model answer. Using educator-designed rubrics, our AI evaluates answers at scale and delivers specific guidance that helps learners quickly understand where they went right or wrong. This breakthrough ensures every learner gets the personalised support they need to stay engaged and improve outcomes.
Use case
A nursing student answers a case-study question. Instead of a canned response, they get detailed, personalised feedback pointing out strengths, gaps, and next steps — just like having a tutor at their side.
Ausmed Perform now saves your work automatically in the background while you create or edit activities. There’s no need to manually click save — your progress is continually preserved, even if you leave the page or get interrupted.
Use case
Ideal for busy managers and clinical leads who can’t afford to lose work. Auto-save protects your time and ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
Team and Location Managers can now directly manage Perform tasks for their teams — including updating reporting lines, enrolling staff into programs, and editing reporting line structures. This decentralises admin control, speeds up workflows, and reduces reliance on head office.
Use case
Perfect for larger organisations where local leads need the autonomy to manage team structures without waiting on central system admins.
Ausmed’s Stats API now includes secure metadata about user completions — with a retrievable link to each learner’s PDF certificate (when applicable). This supports integrations with other systems via SSO, while maintaining strong data security and performance.
Use case
Enable seamless sharing of completion data and certificates across HR or compliance systems — without exposing raw files or manual exports.
You can now easily update a staff member’s manager directly from their profile—making it faster to keep reporting lines accurate. This ensures performance tasks and conversations go to the right people, and staff are connected with the right manager at the right time.
Use case
When a staff member gets a new manager, admins can quickly update their reporting line from the user profile—reducing confusion and keeping manager responsibilities aligned.
We’ve streamlined the “Mark as Complete” action in the Staff Portal to make it faster and less disruptive. Instead of going through an extra confirmation step, staff can now complete learning tasks in a single click — with clear visual cues to show success. If something goes wrong, the interface offers a helpful error message with guidance. Optional feedback is still available but no longer gets in the way.
Use case
By removing an extra step, this update makes it easier for staff to stay in flow when completing monthly learning tasks. It’s a small improvement that reduces friction — helping staff get through their to-dos faster and with less effort.
We've enhanced the stability and reliability of the Staff Portal, reducing errors and downtime so your team can access and complete their compliance and learning requirements without disruption.
Use case
When staff log in to complete training or compliance tasks, the portal now loads more consistently and performs with greater stability—improving their experience and minimising time lost to technical issues.
Ausmed now includes AI-powered open-ended questions that adapt to each learner’s input in real time. Instead of choosing from fixed options, healthcare professionals write responses and receive instant, personalized feedback — helping reinforce correct reasoning and develop critical thinking. This dynamic system transforms passive learning into a more reflective, engaging experience.
Use case
A nurse completing a CPD module responds to a clinical scenario in their own words. The AI analyzes their input and delivers tailored feedback — affirming what they got right and offering suggestions to deepen understanding, all within seconds.
We’ve upgraded the way Ausmed’s SCORM learning appears on mobile—so it’s easier to navigate, read, and complete. Layouts now adapt more smoothly to smaller screens, with improved spacing and touch-friendly design that makes learning feel more intuitive. This update removes friction and helps frontline staff stay focused on learning, not formatting.
Use case
Frontline staff accessing SCORM modules on their phones will now experience better usability, with mobile-optimised layouts and navigation that make it easier to move through and complete training.
You can now schedule tasks in a Perform review cycle using weeks—not just days or months. This makes it easier to plan regular check-ins like “1 week” or “3 weeks” without needing to count days or do date math. It’s a small change that adds speed and clarity to review setup.
Use case
When setting up a Perform review, admins and managers can now assign tasks using weekly intervals—making schedules easier to read and manage.
Managers can now jump straight from a staff member’s profile to their own Perform task list—making it quicker to take action. Whether it's reviewing a self-assessment or preparing for a performance meeting, this shortcut reduces clicks and keeps tasks flowing.
Use case
When viewing a staff profile, managers with Perform responsibilities can immediately access their related tasks—saving time and improving workflow.
You can now upload files directly to notes in Perform—adding context and documentation to your performance records. Whether it’s a checklist, certificate, or meeting summary, attaching evidence to notes helps teams track progress and stay aligned.
Use case
Managers and admins can now add supporting documents—like coaching plans or assessment forms—directly into a staff member’s Perform notes for better record-keeping and clearer conversations.
You can now view recent feedback, Perform notes, and other relevant performance insights directly within a staff member’s profile. This gives managers a more complete picture—helping them prepare for conversations, track progress, and support staff development more effectively.
Use case
Before a check-in or performance meeting, managers can quickly review the latest feedback and notes on a staff member—all in one place.
Easily access critical staff information — including Perform notes, feedback, goals, learning and policy requirements, and compliance status — directly within your self-assessment or meeting tasks. With a larger, more intuitive layout, this consistent modal view reduces the need to switch tabs, helping managers stay focused and make faster, more informed decisions.
Use case
When reviewing a self-assessment task or running a meeting, managers can now quickly reference relevant staff details — from goals to compliance — in one place. This streamlines preparation, supports meaningful conversations, and ensures nothing gets missed.
Frontline staff can now clearly see which learning requirements they've missed—and what to do about them. Instead of completing training prematurely, they’re guided to speak with their manager to align next steps. This preserves manager visibility and supports timely, coordinated decisions without overwhelming staff.
Use case
When staff miss required learning, they now get clearer guidance on what’s outstanding and how to follow up with their manager—avoiding missteps and ensuring better alignment.
You can now collect survey responses anonymously — empowering more honest, candid feedback. With the new “Collect Responses Anonymously” toggle, identifying data is removed while you retain access to trends and timestamps. Once enabled, anonymity is locked in, giving your team the confidence to speak freely.
Use case
For sensitive topics like culture, wellbeing, or team dynamics, anonymous surveys help uncover what people truly think — building safer spaces, stronger teams, and more actionable insight.
We’ve added new filter options to Payroll Reports — allowing you to run more targeted reports by content type. Whether you need data on practical activities or training modules only, you can now generate reports that reflect exactly what you need, faster.
Use case
Payroll admins and learning managers can now filter report results by item type — helping ensure more accurate pay calculations, streamlined audits, and better visibility into how staff are earning CPD.
Create clearer, more structured goals with new enhancements in Perform. You can now add goal titles for quick tracking, and use rich text in descriptions to highlight key milestones, metrics, or resources. It’s easier than ever to align teams around meaningful objectives.
Use case
Managers and staff can now write and organize goals more effectively — improving visibility in reviews, check-ins, and development conversations.
Setting up or updating reporting lines just got easier. With our new bulk upload feature, you can import manager-staff relationships at scale — helping you configure Ausmed Perform faster and stay agile as teams evolve.
Use case
HR and system admins can now quickly establish or revise reporting structures using a simple CSV upload — streamlining onboarding and reducing manual effort.
You can now define your own reporting periods in Intelligence Reports. Select any start and end date to see all metrics and charts update accordingly — then export your data as a PDF or CSV. This added flexibility supports non-standard cadences like fiscal years and compliance periods, with no loss in visual clarity or data integrity.
Use case
Organisation Managers and execs can now align reporting with internal needs — from board cycles to regulatory deadlines — reducing manual effort and increasing reporting precision.
We’ve streamlined the staff experience by grouping related tasks and adding dedicated pages for actions like learning completion, policy acknowledgements, and performance reviews. This means less time navigating and more time getting things done.
Use case
Staff can now easily view and complete required tasks — such as mandatory learning, policy sign-offs, and manager-assigned actions — all from a single, intuitive interface.
You can now see when a staff member’s learning requirement was skipped — and by whom. This new detail, visible in the Requirements section of a user’s profile, helps leaders ensure accountability and follow-through on learning responsibilities.
Use case
Managers and admins can now identify where learning requirements were bypassed — helping reinforce compliance, maintain audit trails, and ensure every staff member gets the training they need.
Run your performance programs with greater clarity and control. Our new tools — including calendar views, manager dashboards, and cycle-based tracking — make it easy to oversee task progress, spot overdue actions, and identify gaps. Whether you're tracking compliance or growth conversations, stay on top of what matters.
Use case
HR and team leaders can now manage performance workflows more effectively — seeing what’s overdue, what’s coming up, and which managers need support to stay on track.
We’ve reorganized the Learn experience by separating Courses and Training Modules into distinct categories — making it easier to find the right content for your team. Whether you’re assigning short modules or complete CPD courses, you can now filter, browse, and search more intuitively.
Use case
Learning coordinators and team leads can now quickly distinguish between bite-sized modules and full-length courses — making it easier to assign relevant education aligned with staff needs and compliance goals.
Every interaction tells a story. Now, with Activity Reports, you can uncover those stories — surfacing how staff and managers engage with reviews, onboarding, and coaching moments across your organisation.
Use case
Your people data is only as valuable as the clarity it gives you. Activity Reports help you move beyond form completion — revealing patterns, surfacing outliers, and making it easier to act. Track trends across roles, teams, and locations. Export for analysis. Share PDFs to prove compliance with confidence.
We’ve upgraded the Capability Framework with a clearer table view and a streamlined side panel — making it easier for Operations Managers to add or edit capabilities and skills. This upgrade helps you tag learning, policies, and tasks with the right skills to support targeted development.
Use case
Operations Managers can now manage capabilities more efficiently — ensuring learning content and tasks are aligned with skill requirements across the workforce.
We’ve upgraded key Learn pages with search, sorting, filtering, and new list/card views — making it faster to find the content you need.
Use case
Healthcare professionals browsing CPD or upskilling content can now navigate Learn more quickly and intuitively.
Organisations can now prevent users from skipping ahead in videos during their first watch by enabling the Video Scrubbing Blocker in the org portal. This setting ensures learners engage with video content as intended, supporting stronger content integrity and compliance.
Use case
Some content — like mandatory training or compliance education — needs to be viewed in full. By disabling scrubbing on first watch, you can ensure learners engage with the material before advancing, helping meet regulatory requirements and learning goals.
Get early access to competency assessment templates aligned with the Strengthened Aged Care Standard. Available exclusively to Ausmed Learn customers, these templates help ensure staff competency and support regulatory readiness across your care workforce.
Use case
Organisations preparing for the new aged care standards who need role-aligned competency assessments to demonstrate compliance.
Help your managers stay focused on what matters — without relying on memory. With private Performance Notes, leaders can track staff achievements, challenges, and coaching moments over time. These notes surface during reviews and help guide meaningful, data-informed conversations.
Use case
Managers can now record and revisit key observations — from standout contributions to growth areas — using Performance Notes. When review time comes, these insights support fairer evaluations and stronger development plans.
You can now include quizzes when exporting lectures as SCORM files — making it easy to assess staff knowledge directly within your LMS. If a lecture has quiz questions added, they’ll be fully functional in the SCORM version.
Use case
Organisations using SCORM packages to deliver training in external systems can now validate learning by enabling quiz functionality — helping ensure comprehension and compliance outside the Ausmed platform.
Admins can now control which job roles see specific policies — ensuring staff only receive the information relevant to their responsibilities. This reduces overwhelm, improves clarity, and helps ensure the right policies reach the right people.
Use case
Instead of showing every policy to every staff member, Organisation Managers can now target visibility — so clinical staff see clinical policies, admins see operational ones, and no one is buried in irrelevant information.
Lectures in Ausmed now include quizzes — giving you built-in tools to validate staff knowledge and reinforce learning immediately after they complete a module. This enhancement adds an assessment layer to core CPD and compliance content, improving learning outcomes without any extra setup.
Use case
Staff complete a lecture and are automatically prompted with a quiz to check their understanding.
You can now enrol users into review cycles during the same step you add them to Ausmed Perform — reducing admin work and ensuring no one is missed during onboarding. This improvement brings performance setup and user creation together in one simple workflow.
Use case
When HR adds a new staff member to Ausmed Perform, they can immediately assign them to onboarding, training, or review cycles — avoiding follow-up steps and ensuring a smoother start.
You can now record past policy acknowledgments when adding a policy in Ausmed — ensuring your records stay accurate without requiring staff to re-acknowledge documents they’ve already signed. This supports audit continuity and saves time during system transitions or policy updates.
Use case
When migrating policy records or updating content, HR and compliance teams can input past acknowledgments — maintaining a complete audit trail without disrupting staff workflows.
We’ve updated the Policy Detail Page with layout improvements that make it easier to review, update, and manage policies. These changes improve usability for Organisation Managers and reduce the time it takes to edit or maintain policy content.
Use case
HR and compliance teams can now navigate and update policy details more efficiently — improving speed and reducing errors during routine content updates.
Introducing a new activity type: the Meeting Form. Use it to document onboarding check-ins, annual reviews, coaching conversations, and more — all in a structured, consistent format. Capture key outcomes, track progress, and keep everything documented in one place.
Use case
HR teams and managers can now standardize important touchpoints — like onboarding checklists, mid-year reviews, or growth conversations — using a customizable form that ensures no details are missed and everything is recorded for future reference.
While reviewing onboarding or annual performance, you can now see relevant feedback and learning progress directly in the side panel — without leaving the screen. This contextual upgrade streamlines reviews, reduces tab-switching, and helps managers make better, faster decisions.
Use case
Managers running a review can instantly reference recent feedback, completed tasks, and training progress — all from one place — leading to more informed conversations and consistent evaluations.
You can now clearly distinguish between learning and tasks that were marked as skipped versus completed. This update improves accuracy in reporting, makes audit trails more transparent, and ensures managers can act on the right data.
Use case
Organisation Managers reviewing compliance or performance data can now quickly see which items were actively completed versus those skipped — helping guide follow-ups and audits.
Run reports to see all feedback received by staff over a selected period — helping you spot trends, support coaching conversations, and ensure no one slips through the cracks. Whether you're reviewing monthly progress or preparing for formal evaluations, the Feedback Report brings performance insights into focus.
Use case
Organisation Managers can track the volume and type of feedback given across teams — enabling fairer evaluations, targeted support, and stronger feedback cultures.
