Effective respite care planning can help create a positive experience that can be repeated in the future. Building on the foundation of knowing the person, the respite service can be planned specifically for the person. The aim should be to provide a respite service that makes people feel safe, respected, cared for, “at home”, and treated with kindness and a sense of belonging.
